Composer and Pianist
As a composer and pianist I am active in two different musical fields; contemporary music and jazz. My motivation is to explore music in different ways and present it in different contexts. I am convinced that improvisation and composition are mutually enriching and that the engagement with the respective other is a valuable basis for overcoming conventions and creating something of my own.
As a Composer
Works for orchestra, chamber music, choir music, solo pieces, as well as pieces for jazz ensembles and silent movies. Performances in Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the US.
As a Pianist
Pianistic activity mainly in the field of modern jazz – as a soloist, in a trio and in other settings. Furthermore appearances in experimental contexts and as a continuo player with baroque ensembles
